As a boy, Erick’s family lived in Mexico City. On holidays, they would fly to California to see his grandparents, so since about three years old he’s wanted to be a pilot. He began flying in 1990 and has 5600 hours, including 2700 dual given. While majoring in engineering and psychology, he flew and instructed in ultralights. Later he was an Alaskan bush pilot, and went on to fly on-demand cargo through North and Central America in old LearJets. He’s also ferried small airplanes as far as Mexico City and Europe. Erick has collected a bag full of tricks and tips that can help you succeed in your own flight aspirations.
